On the 25th of July 2025, we officially opened the doors of our long-awaited jewellery shop Edinburgh. Centrally located at No. 11 Jeffrey Street, we are only a wee 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station.
We sell ethically traded, high-quality silver jewellery, an extensive range of Tungsten Carbide rings, traditional and contemporary Celtic designs and unique handcrafted tribal jewellery traded directly with the makers. We also stock fun Scottish sterling silver designs for our international visitors and our designer gold vermeil and rose gold jewellery range for that little something special.
We love our warm and welcoming jewellery shop, our great neighbours and the fabulous view out onto Calton Hill with its collection of neoclassical monuments. Jeffrey Street also has an interesting history – the street was originally a series of Medieval alleys, or closes as we say, that ran off the Royal Mile. Jeffrey Street came into being in the late 1800s when the area was significantly redeveloped into the impressive sandstone and granite tenement buildings that stand today.
Established in 1997, Royal Mile Silver has been trading in Edinburgh for over 28 years. We have loved getting to know our wonderful customers at various locales, such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Edinburgh Christmas Market, the Rose Street and Castle Street Markets, The Mound at the National Galleries of Scotland, the Old Town High Street and the annual grassroots Meadows Festival. As a local independent business, we are beyond excited to open our boutique jewellery shop right in the heart of the Edinburgh Old Town.
