Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century, where gold is applied to sterling silver – making this a hypoallergenic product that can be worn without worry. We have created this to offer an affordable range of Celtic designs in gold and rose gold that can still be worn by those prone to skin reactions.
The Triquetra Celtic Knot is understood to symbolise the fundamental belief in 3 distinct, interwoven levels of existence – Mind, Body, Spirit – The physical, spiritual and mental levels within our eternal journey, and the interlaced single line displays the belief that life is an eternal cycle– with no beginning and no end.
When the Celts merged with Christianity in Eire over 1500 years ago this became the symbol for the Holy Trinity, and is one of the most common Celtic symbols we see today.
